OF NP EXPERIENCE
I'm Lori, a double Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I specialize in treating the mind and body as a connection, rather than looking at symptoms in isolation.
Those two certifications mean I bring a perspective that considers your mental health within the broader context of your overall health and circumstances not just a checklist of symptoms and a prescription pad.
As a solo private practice, every inquiry that comes through this website is reviewed by me, personally. There's no call center, and no hand-off to someone else once you decide to reach out.

MY PERSPECTIVE
Care that looks at the whole person.
Psychiatric care isn't just about identifying symptoms and selecting a standard treatment. I look at the complete picture when developing a plan including diet, lifestyle, and lab results when necessary, alongside a compassionate, evidence-based approach.
Safety and effectiveness come first, regardless of the situation. But within that, I try to understand what's actually going on in your life, not just what's written on an intake form.
A GUIDING PRINCIPLE
No two patients are exactly alike, and treatment shouldn't be either.
Medication decisions are based on your specific needs, history, circumstances, and goals, not a one-size-fits-all protocol. Treatment can be reassessed and adjusted as your needs and response change.

BEFORE TREATMENT
Understanding comes first.
Good psychiatric care begins with understanding what you're experiencing, what matters to you, and what you're hoping will change.
01
Listen
I give patients the space to actually be heard, rather than moving straight to a decision.
02
Discuss
We talk through what's going on, what's been tried before, and what matters most to you.
03
Decide Together
Treatment decisions are made collaboratively not something decided for you.
WORKING TOGETHER
Your care doesn't happen in isolation.
Mental health rarely exists on its own. When it's appropriate to your care, I'm glad to work alongside other people already supporting you.
This isn't automatic for every patient, it happens when it genuinely helps your treatment, and with your involvement.
01
Your Therapist
When you're already working with a therapist, care can be coordinated when appropriate.
02
Your Primary Care Provider
Communication with your PCP can support a more complete picture of your health.
03
Your OB/GYN
Especially relevant during pregnancy and postpartum, when coordinated care can matter most.

IMPORTANT TRANSITION
Care during pregnancy, postpartum, and other significant transitions.
Pregnancy and the postpartum period can bring real emotional and mental-health changes. I'm comfortable caring for patients navigating these stages, and I bring the same individualized, whole-person approach to that care as I do to every patient.

IF YOU ARE READY TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP
Is this the right fit for you?
If what you've read here sounds like the kind of care you're looking for, you can begin with the New Patient Interest Form, I'll take it from there.
Completing the form does not establish a provider–patient relationship. I personally review each inquiry and will follow up within 2–3 business days.
